The Wake County PTA Council accomplishes its mission and goals through three primary means: training to member units, program support and advocacy.
"Great Expectations" Parent Leadership Conference
Great Expectations is the Wake County PTA Council’s annual Parent Leadership Conference usually held within the first two months of the traditional school year. Its purpose is to bring together parent leaders and other pta stakeholders from across the county to train, learn, network and celebrate. Along with info rmative and interactive workshops, the conference also hosts the council’s first full council meeting of the year. Attendees of the conference receive access to the Great Exchange, an exhibitor hall of PTA partners and vendors who share info rmation about their products and services.
Parent Involvement
Parent Involvement is a significant focus area for the Wake County PTA Council. Throughout the year you will see training, programs and advocacy initiatives come through the council to parents, teachers, principals, administrators and the community at large. Our goal is to further the understanding of the important role parent involvement plays in the success of all students in Wake County .
