Executive Board Legislative Platform
At the February 16, 2006 WCPTA Council Executive Board meeting, the 2005 Legislative Platform was endorsed by the Executive board. The purpose of this platform is to publicly state the position of the WCPTA Executive Board with regard to public education related matters. It also serves as a guide for their advocacy efforts.

Funding for Growth Resolution
During the February 17, 2005 Meeting of the Wake County PTA Council, the general membership approved a "Funding for Growth" resolution. This resolution serves as a positioning statement for the council and all PTA units to voice concern over the lack of adequate funding for both operational and capital needs in the WCPSS and calls for increased funding from all levels of government. The resolution was presented to the Wake County Board of Education and to the Wake County Commissioners.

GOAL 2008 Resolution
At the November 20, 2003 WCPTA Council Executive Board meeting, a resolution in support of the Goal 2008 was endorsed by the Executive board. The resolution urges all business, civic, education and parent groups to become actively involved in supporting efforts to achieve Goal 2008. Further, the WCPTA Council Executive Board urges the Wake County Board of Commissioners to provide adequate funding to support Goal 2008.
Goal 2008 states: By 2008, 95% of students in grades 3-12 will be at or above grade level as measured by the North Caroline End-of-Grade of end-of-course tests, and students in all groups will meet high growth standards.
