Executive Board Responsibilities & Expectations :

Executive Board is comprised of elected officers of the council, the chairmen of the standing committees and the liaisons

• Each board member must be a member of a local PTA unit

• Liaisons are representatives from other organizations or associations that have an interest in the mission of the Council.  Liaisons are appointed by the president of the Council and serve as a non-voting representative on the executive board.  Liaisons should be reappointed at the beginning of every year.

• Board members shall:  transact business, act in emergencies between meetings of the council, fill vacancies in office, approve standing committee's plans of work, approve the budget, select an auditor or auditing committee of three members.

• Majority of members of the board constitutes quorum.

• The board is to have regular meetings.

• Special meetings may be called by the president and shall be called upon the request of the majority of members of the board with five (5) days notice required
